K.A.R.E. for Kids 4th Annual Poker Run March 17 (rain date March 24).  Registration 8:30 - 9:45 AM at the world famous Dawsonville Pool Room in downtown Dawsonville.  Breakfast will be available.  All riders depart by 10 AM.  Riders Hill will be the 3rd stop.  Last stop, last card, drawing for prized, 50/50 award, and announcement of winning hands at Lorena's Food & Spirits on GA Hwy 400.  Early registration $20 per bike and $5 per passenger.  Registration fee after March 12 $25 per bike and $5 per passenger.  www.kareforkids.us

Dawson County Sheriff's Office Poker Run Saturday, October 29.  All proceeds benefit "Shop With A Cop".  Early registration available until October 14: $20 per rider, $10 per passenger, t-shirts $10.  Registration day of event 9 - 10 AM: $25 per rider, $10 per passenger.  Run departs from the Dawson County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Center at 19 Tucker Avenue in Dawsonville.  Last rider out by 10 AM.  Riders Hill will be the 1st stop.  Prizes for best hand, 50/50, and door prizes.  Registration forms available at Riders Hill, or email Sgt. LifeSouth Community Blood Centers Saturday, October 29.  1st Annual Cruisin' for Life Car and Motorcycle Show to raise awareness of the blood and platelet need in our community.  Free registration for show.  Enjoy free food, music, entertainment, and prizes.  Canned, non-perishable food donations are greatly appreciated.  Also collecting new, unwrapped toy donations for "Toys For Tots".  1200 McEver Road Extension, Gainesville, GA. 

Steve Sutton Kidney Fund Poker Run Saturday, October 15.  All proceeds benefit the Steve "Boomer" Sutton Kidney Fund.  Run starts at Bodock's in Canton and goes through Canton, Waleska, Fairmount, Chatsworth, Ellijay, Dawsonville, and back to Bodock's.  Single rider is $20, boubles $30.  Every rider gets a free T-shirt.  To register, go to www.Burning-Daylight.com.

North Georgia Technical College Foundation Poker Run Saturday, October 8.  All proceeds benefit student scholarships.  Check in begins at 8 AM.  Ride is 9 AM - 3 PM.  Leaves from NGTC Transportation Center on Tech School Rd. in Clarkesville.  Stops at Chattahoochee Biker Gear in Helen, Union Powersports in Blairsville, the NGTC Blairsville Campus, and back to NGTC in Clarkesville.  $25 per bike, $5 additional rider.

2nd Annual Ride for PETS in Action Saturday, September 10 (rain date Sept. 17).  All proceeds go to benefit the non-profit NGCSU Animal Assisted Therapy Program whose mission is to improve the quality of life of disadvantage people in rural North GA through the use of animal assisted therapy.  Ride begins and ends at Riders Hill.  Registration begins at 9 AM, kick stands up at 10 AM. $30 per bike with pre-registration / $35 day of ride.  $10 for passenger.  Includes t-shirt and $5 meal ticket toward lunch at Six Gap Cafe at Riders Hill.   Additional t-shirts available at registration for $15.  For more information visit www.petsinaction.org, or find them on Facebook for a discount on the registration fee.

Hall County Sheriff's Office 3rd Annual Charity Ride for Children's Christmas Program Saturday, August 20.  Enjoy a law enforcement escorted, scenic ride for a couple of hours and return for fellowship and lunch with friends.  Ride begins and ends at the Hall County Courthouse, leaving at 10 AM sharp. Registration begins at 8 AM on top of the Hall County Parking Deck.  Door prizes, food.  $20 for one rider, $30 for two; includes lunch and event shirt.  Only pre-registered riders receive an event t-shirt.

Registration at 11:00, last bike out at Noon.  $20 per bike, $5 for extra hand..  Games, food, raffles, giveaways.

21st Annual Georgia Mountain Rally April 29 - May 1, Hiawassee, GA.  Attendees limited to first 600 registrations.  www.bmwmoga.info for forms and info.  Deluxe camping, hot showers, prizes, poker run, bonfire social, group dinners, free coffee and popcorn.  Pre-registered rally fee is $45, after April 15 is $55. 

20th Annual Georgia Police Memorial Ride Saturday, April 16th to honor fallen law enforcement officers.  Georgia lost 10 law enforcement officers while serving the public in 2010.  Ride is police escorted by honor guard teams from many participating agencies.  Registration opens at 8 AM and ride departs at 11 AM from Turner Field, ending in Peachtree City.  Cost is $35 per rider and $15 per passenger - includes ride pin, shirt, lunch, and Fallen Heroes program of honor for the families.  Pre-register at blueknightsgavii.org.  For more info contact 770-719-8306 or eddie2909@aol.com.
